Hi! I’m Claire and I work as the Account Director at Heckenkemper. My goal is to be a clear and creative voice on social media for our clients to connect with their audience in an authentic, genuine way. Whether it’s working to gain more followers/customers through Facebook or keeping tradeshow attendees updated through Twitter, my work is simply to connect. Thirteen years of working through marketing and PR in various industries has given me a wide range of experience to draw from.
On the personal side, it comes down to fun with my family, exploring Tulsa, running, cooking, Instagram and a glass of wine. Getting to represent so many great companies while living in this amazing city has made for a true home in Tulsa! I’m here for you so connect with me!

We are lucky enough this week to have one of our events happening just down the street! The Pipeline + Energy Expo is happening in Tulsa and we stopped by. This gave us a chance to take some great pictures, see our client in-person and chat with exhibitors and attendees.

We are having an exciting (and busy) week at Heckenkemper! It’s Power Generation Week and we are covering this huge event LIVE. With over 20,000 attendees from around the world, #PowerGenWeek is a massive undertaking. This is our third year in charge of all the social media. So just how do we handle a live event? Sitting in the office today, chatting with Stephanie about ideal pictures from clients for social media. And honestly the answer we came up with is ANY PICTURE!! Ok, maybe not any picture but close to it.
“They said WHAT?!” <— How often do you check your comments on Facebook and your heart sinks to your shoes because someone has made a negative comment on your page? Hopefully not too often! But even for that “once in a blue moon” occasion, it is the worst. So how do you handle it? Let’s look at the choices you have to best manage the situation:
