This is a great question and one of my favorites to talk about because it opens up discussions on what you really want and goes through the evaluation of discovering how to task and best use your resources and how involved you need us to be for you, best news for you is we can do either. Ask yourself what internal human resources are available within the company for implementation and support of social media marketing initiatives? For example content creation, network development, promotion, monitoring and web analytics, community engagement, etc.
Often it comes down to a question of manpower and knowledge base of your internal team.
It’s quite common to start off with outsourcing your social media management to a social media manager to get your accounts established and to create a successful foundation. Then as your company resources allow, begin shifting part or all of your social media needs over to internal team members supported with social media coaching. Some clients have the long-term goal to phase out coaching and take over their social media responsibilities internally. Some clients may already be managing their social media successfully and instead need a kickstart to freshen up their knowledge base or train a new employee. There’s no wrong answer and the right partner for you will be who can listen to your needs and evolve as your resources and needs change.
What is this going to cost me?
Of course it depends on what you need and before giving you a quote I will meet with you to discuss your needs, your goals and go over recommendations. Each client is different so every consultation is followed up with a written proposal that details line by line the costs. It can range from a few hundred to a few thousand but the typical clients needs are going to be very reasonably priced and in line with typical marketing and advertising rates. I believe in upfront pricing with no surprises and no hidden fees or add-ons.
